Frequently Ask Questions

An EU Authorised Representative is a natural or legal person based in the European Union who is appointed by a non-EU manufacturer to act on their behalf in ensuring product compliance with EU legislation. The AR is the official point of contact for EU authorities and consumers.
If you are a manufacturer located outside the EU/EEA and wish to sell CE-marked products in the EU, most EU regulations require you to appoint an AR. Without an AR, your products may be stopped at customs, removed from the market, or you may face legal penalties.
The AR requirement applies to many products regulated under specified harmonisation legislation alongwith spesific legislations.
As your AR, we:
Verify that your EU Declaration of Conformity and technical documentation meet legal requirements.
Keep copies of your technical file available for EU market surveillance authorities.
Cooperate with authorities in compliance investigations.
Notify you of any product non-compliance issues.
Represent you in all EU regulatory matters.
An AR does not:
Manufacture your product
Perform laboratory testing (unless contracted separately)
Take over your legal manufacturer obligations beyond those set by EU law We act strictly within the legal scope defined in our AR agreement.
Your AR’s name and address must appear on:
The product label
Packaging (if applicable)
Instructions for use/user manual This is required so EU authorities can contact your representative directly.
